(1)Driving from Taipei southwards

(3)Driving from Kaohsiung Northwards
*Route A: Freeway No.1→ Tai-78th Expressway→Freeway No.3 → get off at Zhushan Interchange → Jiji(continue on Tai-3rd Highway and then get on Tai-16th Highway) →Shuili (continue on Tai-16th Highway) →Sun Moon Lake (onto Tai-21st Highway).
*Route B: Freeway No.3→get off at Zhushan Interchange→ Jiji (continue on Tai-3rd Highway and then get on Tai-16th Highway) →Shuili (continue on to Tai-16th Highway)
Transporation by bus
*Take the Sun Moon Lake Line of Nantou Bus opposite Taichung Railway Station.
*At THSR Taichung Station, toward No.5 Exit at street level, you will find Taiwan Tourist Shuttle service. Take their Sun Moon Lake line and get off at Shueishe Visitor Center.
*Take Sun Moon Lake Line of Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation at Taipei Railway Station.
*In a diagonal direction across from Kaohsiung Railway Station, take the Puli Line of Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation or Ubus and transfer to Nantou Bus for Sun Moon Lake.
*Take the Sun Moon Lake Line of Taiwan Tourist Shuttle service at Taichung airport and get off at Shueishe Visitor Center.
*Walking form Shueishe Visitor Center to Sun Moon Inn only 3 minutes.
